Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Dirty chai was pretty strong caffeine hit, which was very needed during a long shopping trip. Good location for a sit down and enjoying a dessert and coffee. Cheesecake was delicious, pretty much what you'd expect. The macadamia nuts were an excellent addition. Nothing to complain here, would come back again."
"Comparing with Coffee Club, this place rocks. *See my Coffee club review. This place is great value for money, fantastic quality and atmosphere, with awesome service, food came out super quick. As a family of four we had big breakfast, eggs bene, breakfast burger, a slice, 2shakes hot chocolate and mocha. AMAZING CAFE! Update 13/7/24 We have been here twice since and they have been so polite, the sevice is amazing. But the food is next level. Last time we had big breaky and eggs bene, this time eggs bene and chilli scrambled. Still Amazing! Update 20/7 Knocked out or off the park again. Great paella!"
"I wandered into Arena Café at The Glen, a place so busy and bustling it felt like half of Melbourne had decided to eat breakfast simultaneously and with great emotional urgency. Chairs scraping, coffees steaming, conversations flying; it was a circus without the tent, and somehow I was the clown who ordered just pancakes. Yes, pancakes. Two. Because sometimes all a man needs in life is closure, therapy, or carbohydrates and on this particular day, carbohydrates won. The pancakes arrived looking like it had been styled for a children’s book about joy. They were fluffy, cloudlike, and topped with fresh fruit so colourful it made me feel guilty for not eating more vitamins. And then there was the ice cream, not a scoop, not a dollop, but a full ice-cream cone overturned on the pancake like a unicorn had fainted from happiness. It was sugary. It was excessive. It was glorious. A dessert disguised as breakfast; a concept I’ve always strongly supported. One bite and my blood sugar soared so high it needed aviation clearance. Would I recommend it? Of course. It’s whimsical, indulgent, and perfect for anyone needing a treat, a break, or a reason to avoid their responsibilities for an hour. Come for the chaos, stay for the pancake, leave with the energy of a caffeinated toddler"
"The brunch in the arena are great, food sources are profound and the taste is various, the beef is so laoshu, others are good in terms of taste and experience. Nice food and good food is also great ."
"Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. We usually just stop for coffees. French toast with bacon, yum and the seafood basket generous for a light meal. We love to sit in the little booths on the outside of the shop."
"We went on a busy Thursday afternoon and the cafe was close to full. The cashier told time and care to explain to us when we asked about my dietary requirements - I don’t feel being rushed despite the cafe was busy Our order arrived very shortly too."
"So glad to stumble upon this cafe. Great selection of cakes and they do a coffee+cake special for $9.90 Service and ambiance is amazing, and cakes and coffee and hot chocolate is perfect! The backdrop on the wall makes you feel like you are in Italy :) Definitely coming back again next time."
"This is the perfect spot for a quick brunch before hitting the shops at Glen. Or, if you’ve been shopping around the Glen for a while, it’s the ideal place to grab a bite and catch your breath. The food is delicious, and the service is top-notch. Plus, the atmosphere is so cozy and inviting."
